Welcome to the Use Twice Campaign! A small group of people have decided to start this campaign because we feel strongly that items should be used more than one time. Examples of one-use items would includes disposable coffee cups, plastic utensils like forks and spoons, and many, many other items. We feel that eliminating all disposable items from our lives would be too difficult, but attempting to use items at least twice is an achievable goal.
At this beginning stage of the Use Twice Campaign, I would like to propose a few goals:
1) Invite people to join. Invite them even if you don't think they will join. You might be pleasantly surprised who will want to be a part of this.
2) I think we should come up with the 5 tenants of the Use Twice Campaign. This would be the 5 rules we need to stick by. Examples might be "You can eat any food item that is not in a single use container", or "It may not be possible to use items only once at work - but do your best". So throw out suggestions for the 5 tenants and we can have a vote on the top 5 down the road.
3) A logo would be great. Any artists out there?
4) It seems we should have an official start date. What do you think about Jan 1st, 2017? We can try to get as many people on board before that date as we can. This also gives us a little time to mentally commit to this Campaign.
